About Alessia Pari-di-Monriva

A specialist in Baroque music and multi-instrumentalist, violist Alessia Pari-di-Monriva is emerging as a prominent solo and orchestral artist in the local Lowell music scene.

Alessia has taught a multitude of young musicians in the Boston and Lowell areas, both through her own home studio and through organizations such as the Lowell String Project.

Alessia has led string quartets and chamber groups that have played for her hometown community at hospitals, retirement homes, religious institutions and weddings.

A multi-instrumentalist, Alessia is well-versed in viola, clarinet and mallet percussion.

Alessia is currently a third year student of Music Performance at the University of Massachusetts, Lowell where she studies under violinist and conductor, Mark Latham and in the past has studied with violinist and violist Viktoria Tchertchian.

Her passions not only lie in the performing arts but in travel, language and culture. In addition to earning her Bachelor’s of Music, Alessia is pursuing a degree in Italian and Spanish Language and Culture. A native speaker of Italian, Alessia spent her sixth semester of university taking part in the Erasmus program in Modena, Italy.

In her spare time, Alessia enjoys reading, loves the ocean, and leads an active lifestyle through competitive swimming and rock climbing.
